The next big event coming from Marvel is the Brian Michael Bendis penned Age of Ultron, which has been hinted at since Avengers #12.1.
The Age of Ultron series will be 10 issues (plus an epilogue) that will run from March to June 2013 with art duties on the first five issues being handled by Bryan Hitch and second half of the series by Brandon Peterson and Carlos Pacheco.
Ultron is fulfilling his plan for global domination and is not letting anything stand in his way, especially the heroes of the Marvel Universe from the looks of things.

When asked who survives the Ultron attacks, Bendis has been fairly tight-lipped only giving away Moon Knight and Spiderman as survivors. In a recent post on Marvel, however, the secret was revealed in a description of the series with, “Now, it’s up to the few remaining heroes to band together and find any way to topple their new monarch. Can Wolverine, Emma Frost, Invisible Woman, Taskmaster, Beast, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Spider-Man and Moon Knight turn the tide?”
Bendis revealed that the events that take place in Age of Ultron will have, “…a HUGE effect on Guardians of the Galaxy. When you see what happens at the beginning of Guardians’ second arc, the scramble to get the first arc is going to be astonishing.” It was also hinted that “Issues #7 and #8 will show a Marvel Universe that no one has seen before.”
What that can mean is anyone’s guess, but there are a lot of big promises for this series coming from Bendis and company; let’s just hope it’ll be worth the amount of time it’s taken for this to come to fruition was worth it.
